Let's Hear You Sing the National Anthem

Can you belt out the national anthem with the best of them? Then enter the first Charleston Beer Garden National Anthem Contest. The winner will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” to kick off the Yelp! Beer Games at this year's beer festival on May 20.

How to enter:
  • Record a video of your rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
  • Email a link to the video (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox link, etc) to with “National Anthem Contest” in the subject line.
  • Submission period is Friday, March 10 to Monday, April 10.
  • The contest is open to those ages 21+ (winner will be required to show proof of age).
A winner will be selected and notified no later than Sunday, April 30. Winner receives 4 general admission tickets to the Charleston Beer Garden.

The winner must be able to perform the national anthem at the Charleston Beer Garden on Saturday, May 20 at The Grove at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, S.C. A microphone, but no musical accompaniment, will be provided so be prepared to sing a cappella or bring your own instruments. Estimated performance time will be 1 p.m.
